Marcus Reid founded Aureon Capital AI with the conviction that the next era of fund management belongs to firms that can marry human trading acumen with the analytical scale of artificial intelligence.

Prior to founding Aureon, Marcus spent over 15 years in global macro trading at leading institutional desks, managing multi-asset portfolios across equities, fixed income, forex, and commodities. He served as Head of Macro Trading at a mid-sized hedge fund where he oversaw $800 million in AUM before identifying the structural opportunity that would become Aureon's founding thesis.

Marcus holds a B.S. in Financial Engineering from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of North Carolina.

Diana Chen is the architect of Aureon's proprietary AI signal engine — the technology layer at the heart of everything Aureon does. As Co-Founder and Chief AI Officer, she oversees the design, development, and continuous improvement of the firm's machine learning models across all asset classes.

Before co-founding Aureon, Diana led AI research teams at two quantitative hedge funds, building predictive models for FX and commodity markets. Her academic work on multi-modal financial signal fusion was published in the Journal of Financial Data Science in 2020. She previously held engineering roles at a leading U.S. technology company where she developed NLP systems for financial document analysis.

Diana holds a B.S. in Computer Science from MIT and a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from Stanford University, where her dissertation focused on reinforcement learning in non-stationary financial environments.

James Whitfield leads all legal, regulatory, and compliance functions at Aureon Capital AI. He brings over 20 years of experience in securities law and alternative investment compliance, having served as General Counsel at two SEC-registered investment advisers and as a senior attorney at a major U.S. financial regulator.

James was instrumental in structuring Aureon's regulatory framework from the ground up — ensuring the firm operates in full compliance with U.S. securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. He oversees investor onboarding procedures, accreditation verification, Form ADV filings, and the firm's ongoing regulatory reporting obligations.

He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, with a specialization in securities and financial regulation. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the Investment Adviser Association.

Naomi leads Aureon's trading desk, overseeing execution across all asset classes. She brings 12 years of experience in FX and multi-asset trading, having previously served as Senior Trader at a global macro hedge fund in New York. Naomi specializes in discretionary execution in high-volatility environments and is the primary interface between Aureon's AI signal engine and live markets. She holds a B.S. in Economics from Howard University and an M.S. in Financial Mathematics from NYU Courant.

Rafael is responsible for the engineering infrastructure underlying Aureon's AI signal platform — including real-time data pipelines, model inference systems, and the investor-facing risk dashboard. He previously led ML infrastructure engineering at a fintech company processing over $5 billion in daily transaction volume. Rafael holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Paulo, and completed a research fellowship in computational finance at Carnegie Mellon University.

Priya manages Aureon's real-time risk monitoring framework, maintaining continuous oversight of position-level exposure, drawdown, correlation, and volatility across all portfolios. She previously worked in risk management at a global investment bank, where she monitored multi-billion-dollar trading books across equity derivatives and structured products. Priya is a CFA charterholder and holds a B.Tech. in Engineering from IIT Bombay and an M.S. in Financial Engineering from Columbia University.

David leads Aureon's investor relations function, managing ongoing communication with existing investors and supporting the capital formation team in building new institutional relationships. He brings 10 years of investor relations experience across hedge fund and private equity environments, including four years at a multi-billion-dollar alternatives manager in Charlotte, NC. David holds a B.A. in Finance from Morehouse College and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.

Sophia drives Aureon's business development efforts, managing relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals across the U.S. She previously served in capital formation roles at two alternative asset managers, focusing on the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Sophia is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of North Carolina. She holds a B.A. in Economics from UNC Chapel Hill.

André develops and validates the quantitative models underlying Aureon's AI signal engine, with a particular focus on macroeconomic factor models and cross-asset return prediction. He previously conducted research at a systematic hedge fund, publishing work on regime-detection algorithms in the Journal of Portfolio Management. André holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Ghana and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Duke University.

Leila oversees all financial operations at Aureon, including fund accounting, financial reporting, audit management, and treasury operations. She brings 18 years of experience in alternative investment finance, including senior roles at two SEC-registered hedge funds. Prior to joining Aureon, she served as Controller at a $2 billion multi-strategy fund. Leila is a licensed CPA in the state of North Carolina and holds a B.S. in Accounting from NC State University.

Kevin specializes in digital asset market structure, on-chain analytics, and cryptocurrency portfolio strategy within Aureon's Hybrid Alpha Fund. He has been active in crypto markets since 2016, previously serving as a research analyst at a digital asset fund and as a contributor to multiple blockchain protocol governance communities. Kevin holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland and is a certified Blockchain Expert through the Blockchain Council.
